365 Days in Hull

Snapshots, and occasional thoughts, from my random life. Mostly about the small New England town that I call home. Water is a prominent theme as we are surrounded by it. I would live no other way...the water part or the random part. Photos and words posted here are my creations except where otherwise indicated.

Kicking Off the Season
Full disclosure, this is from last weekend. Today it is foggy, overcast, and not particularly warm so I doubt the public beach is this active. This crowd is nothing compared to what it will be in a few weeks when it actually starts to get hot.

Still Images of Things Built to Move
Car show in Hull captured through the lens of a girl who knows nothing about how cars move, but who has a deep appreciation for things that are sexy and fast.

Hangin’ out on the porch at ‘Hull’s Kitchen’
Sea breeze, summer beer, and soft shelled crabs on the menu…sigh….

Much needed quiet time in the garden today.
“Gardening is the handiest excuse for being a philosopher. Nobody guesses, nobody accuses, nobody knows, but there you are, Plato in the peonies, Socrates force-growing his own hemlock. A man toting a sack of blood manure across his lawn is kin to Atlas letting the world spin easy on his shoulder.” ― Ray Bradbury, Dandelion Wine

Spring Tease
I always thought seeing a robin was suppose to be one of the first signs of spring…then I noticed that they seem to hang around trying to survive all winter just like us. Wonder if this robin saw me walking down the street and thought, “oh look the humans are out walking around, the worst must be over!”.
